State Cheer & Dance Championship

I know I'm a little late in posting.....sorry! Over MLK holiday weekend was Macy's 1st cheerleading competition in Daytona Beach. Going to competition brought back so many fond memories of when I was a cheerleader myself. We had such a wonderful time! We had ourselves a "girls weekend." We spent the weekend with my lifetime best friend, Amanda, her daughter, mother, sister in law, and nephew. Macy and I had great Mother-Daughter time. We went down on Friday evening and came home Sunday.
We had to get up at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday to get ready for our day. Macy was exhausted, and so was her Mama! Being this was her 1st competion, I wasn't concerned with her winning 1st place, I was more concerned with her having a good time, which she did.
This is my Little ROCKET. We stayed at the Wyndam Resort right on the beach, which was so nice. I would love to go back over the summer. Macy loved going out on the balcony, even though it was so cold outside.
This is Macy with her awesome Coach, Lindsay. We just LOVE her! She works so hard for these little girls. She loves them and has a passion for cheerleading.
During each and every performance by RCA, our fans held these signs saying ROCKETS! It was so much fun watching each performance and cheering them on.
Macy and Haley, friends just like their Mama's!
We had such a great weekend together. I look forward to many more this cheerleading season!! Let's Go ROCKETS!!!!

Islands of Adventure

This past weekend, we went to Orlando. We LOVED staying at the Nickelodeon Hotel. The pools and slides are awesome! We look forward to going back over the summer to enjoy the waterpark area.
This was the view from our room. Macy wanted to play in the pool area so bad, but it was too cold for that! I promised her we would take her back when it's warmer outside.
We spent the day Saturday at Universal's Islands of Adventure. This was our first trip with the kids. Macy really enjoyed the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Seuss Landing. Jake wasn't quite sure what to think of the rides.

Macy was glad to see Hogsmeade! She loves Harry Potter!! And she even got her Butter Beer!!
"Come on Elephant! We can do this!"

A random post for Hump Day.....

Just thought I would take the time to do a little blog....Today is an Happy day! Work is going great and the work day is 1/2 way finished, I feel caught up on my rest and refreshed from a wonderful nights' sleep last night, my hubby and kids are having a good week as well, and best of all....we are going to Orlando this weekend!! YAY!!! I am so excited! We are going to Universal Islands of Adventure Saturday and then to Disney's Hollywood Studios on Sunday. I'm excited about staying a different hotel this time. We decided to stay at the Nickelodeon Hotel rather than a Disney hotel like we usually do. I'm curious to see if it will measure up to Disney resorts???
I hope everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday
Happy Hump Day!

Happy Birthday Jesse!

Yesterday, 01.03.10 was Jesse's 27th Birthday. We started celebrating his big day by going out to eat at Kabuki (Japanese restaurant) in Fernandina Beach, followed by going Line Dancing Saturday night. Yesterday, we went to lunch at Longhorn's with his family, followed by later in evening we went and had bar-b-que for dinner.
I handmade a card for him and wrote on the bathroom mirror with dry erase markers. He thought I was silly for doing that, but it just shows my love for him...hehe!
Here are a few photos.....
Here (above) is the cake that I made him.....

Had OURself a Merry, Little Christmas.....

We had such a wonderful Christmas! We were very busy trying to fit time in with each family, but we did it and wouldn't change it for the world!
Macy and Jake must have been very good this year, cause Santa brought them wonderful presents.
Here are a few photos from our Christmas festivities.
We set out the Milk and Cookies for Santa, along with a note and $1.00 from Macy.
Here is the not (above)
Christmas morning after the cookies were gone.

This is the gingerbread train that I made....all by myself without any help from the kids.

Family VacATiOn to the Cabin.....

Better late than never! The first weekend of my 2 week vacation we spent with Jesse's family at our family cabin in North Carolina. We weren't as fortunate as we were last year and get to see snow, but we still had such an amazing time! We went ice-skating, which was so much fun! Macy loved it!! It was only her 2nd time, but she was able to ice skate like a pro (well, for a 6 year old!) As long as we are spending quality time with the family, I am fine with hanging out at the cabin and never leaving.
Jesse wasn't very fond of the cold weather. He didn't attempt to ice skate either!
This isn't a very good picture, but this is part of our family.

Since Jake could stand up, I have taken a photo of him standing next to this bear each trip, to show how he's grown.
