Life is Good!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend!
I really enjoyed spending time with the family out at Grandma & Papa Smith's house.
Soon as we got there and all settled, Jesse and his Papa took the kids to pick out their own baby ducks, chicks, and geese.
However, I wasn't very fond of him buying 10 birds! He bought 4 chicks, 4 ducks, and 2 geese.
Macy has already named the two geese, "Sebastian" and "Flounder."
Luckily we have a pond for the ducks and geese, but I'm not quite sure what his plan for the chicks are yet....we might be putting them up for adoption soon....hehe

While out in Macclenny, Jesse and the kids stayed spending time with family
while I attended Gabbie's BeAuTiFuL Wedding.
It was a "backyard" wedding, and it was absolutely gorgeous!
The food was amazing, the weather was a little warm, but bearable, the decorations were so pretty, and the Bride was Gorgeous!!!
(I will have to post pics soon as I get home and upload them!)
We stayed the night all piled up in every room, which by 6:00 am some how our family of 4 all ended up sleeping in the same queen size bed....not comfortable, but I loved the cuddling!

Easter morning, we went to church with Grandma and Papa. I missed not going to our church that I have grown up in, but it was worth it to spend time with family.
After church we stayed for dinner, then went to Ma and Pa's house and ate again, then we went to Aunt Vickie's to eat again, hunt eggs, and go swimming.
It seems like all we did was eat! But, hey that's what holidays are for!

After leaving Aunt Vickie's we went back to Ma and Pa's to spend some more quality time with my family, which I LOVE!
We ended the beautiful day with a boatride to see the gorgeous sunset.....

Maybe this will help me sleep????

Updating my blog seems to help me to fall asleep. So let's see. Today was a good day. I was actually able to go to the mall after work and go shopping for MYSELF! Which I needed some retail therapy in my life.... yay!! I had to buy an Easter dress and a dress for Macy's cheerleading banquet , which I will wear to same one to Gabbie's wedding on Saturday that I an really looking Forward to! I'm so glad that I was able to find something cause I have procrastinated on getting something. Oh, and also bought jewelry to go along with each dress, and 2 pairs of adorable flops! And I saved $70 (off order of $150 or more) with a coupon and the dresses being 30% off so I was quite pleased with my total bill. I love me some bargains!!
Now all I have to do is be able to remember to grab everything tomorrow morning before work since I have to get ready at work....ugh! The banquet starts at 6:00.
I am really looking forward to the banquet. I have heard such great things about the one last year that I hope this year is just as good or better!
Another great thing that I bought today....little man's shirt for Easter which happened to be exactly what I've been looking for and it was on sale for $4.99! Holy Moly, that's cheap! Now if I could just have some sort of luck getting his feet to thin so that he can wear cute shoes to church. This kid most likely will end up in his brown flops cause nothing fits his fat piggies! Oh well, I'm sure worse things have happened......
I hope everyone has a happy Thursday tomorrow and Goodnight!

Just a thought

So here we are at 11:00 pm and I am laying in bed but however my body is not allowing me to go go to sleep when I would like. (thank God for the creator of Ambien!) I have been laying in bed not being able to sleep so I thought I would do a little blogging.
However.......
I'm having to do this from my iPhone since the hubs is using the laptop.
I just wanted to take the time to speak a little on how I feel about the way life is right now.

Life: kinda like the Billy Currington song People are Crazy!" That's what I feel like is a good song.
"God is great, beer is good, people are crazy."
Those words are so true! I think that there are a lot of people that agree with those words in the song, because I sure do.
The things going on in the world today. It's scary!!!
However, my life is going great right now. It wouldn't be normal if there aren't a few bumps in the road along the way, but I'm just happy to say that I'm "Just Living Life!"

I think it's time for a new post.......

I haven't posted in a while, so I think it's time.
Not much has been going on any different than normal.
However, my mom always told me...
"Normal is just a cycle on the washing machine."
Which, by the way is so true! Things wouldn't be near as fun if they were always NORMAL!
Macy had her LAST cheerleading competition last Sunday here
in Jacksonville at the Prime Osborne Convention Center, which by the way the Mini 1 TNT brought home
1st place and GRAND CHAMPIONS!!
It brings joy to me that we won't be so busy with cheerleading, but then again it brings sadness to my heart that competitions are over until January of 2012.
This coming up week is the RCA Banquet, which we are looking forward to. (It gives me a reason to go shopping for new clothes!)
Jesse has to wear a tie! hehe! I can't wait....he's going to look so handsome. I love it when he actually takes the time to look nice.
This week starts a bunch of activities for EASTER that I LoVe!
If only my Easter eggs would turn out this pretty!
Coloring eggs is my favorite part of Easter. I love trying to make the prettiest color egg. I'm curious to see how Jake is going to react while coloring eggs.
He doesn't like to have dirt or water on his hands. I have a feeling that it's going to be a BIG ordeal when he stains his little fingers pink and green!
I know that the Easter Bunny is not the reason for Easter, and I make sure that my kids understand the true reason for Easter and understand the sacrifices that Jesus took for us.
I think I will sit down with Macy this year and educate her with a story of the reason behind Easter.
I think it's time.....
However, the Easter Bunny must still come to the Rohn household, which means that I better get with it and make sure that he has all of the goodies for the baskets.
So it's time for this Mama to get to shopping.....
Peeps, Jelly Beans, Chocolate bunnies, Spring edition sweettarts...yummy!!
Happy Spring!

Burnt to a crisp!

Today was a Marvelous Sunday Funday!
We slept in this morning, followed by playing outside with Jake while I tried to catch a few rays, which I didn't....
UNTIL....
We then rode out to Hugenot Park (aka The Jetties) where Grandma & Papa Rohn have been camping all weekend on the river/beach, where there I got
Burnt to a Crisp!
Just the front half of me anyways. I never seemed to realize that just the front of me was getting sun, until it was too late.
Danielle and Daniel, and Tracey and Ryan rode out to hang out with us as well.
We had such a great time!!
The kids enjoyed playing in the freezing water, feeding the birds, shell hunting, and playing in the sand.
Macy enjoyed picking up all of the hundreds of jellyfish that washed up to shore with the shovel and toss them back into the water. I'm not quite sure if she knew that by throwing them in the water was not going to bring them back to life. But it made her happy to think that it might.

After leaving the beach we stopped at one of my favorite restaurants,
the Sandollar
and had an early dinner setting out on the deck listening to a live band.
Now it's time to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet cause both kids are sound asleep
from all of the fun and excitement from today!

Ready for the weekend.......

I am so excited that the weekend is FINALLY here!!
Woo-Hoo!!
We are having a DATE Night tonight, however with several of
our friends celebrating Danielle and Amanda's birthdays.
We are going to my FAVORITE restaurant,
Olive Garden.....Yippee!!
I have been so busy lately, it seems like I have had some sort of plans every weekend since December!! Ugh!
I am wore slap out!
I plan on staying at home most of the weekend due to not being able to spend very much time at our new home during the weekend.
Although.....
I am thinking about taking the kids to the beach tomorrow as long as this Florida weather cooperates, which means NO rain!

We just got back from our family
DISNEY VACATION
Wednesday evening for 5 days, that was fun, but exhausting!
My wonderful parents were kind enough to use a week of their time share to get a condo for our family to use, which was FREE to us!
We were able to spend a lot of time bonding with each other, which was nice.
The kids had a blast at all of the Disney Parks. We were able to make it to ALL 4 parks this trip. Here is how our agenda went:
Saturday: Travel day and spent time at the condo at the pool
Sunday: Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios
Monday: Epcot
Tuesday: Magic Kingdom
Wednesday: Epcot
I'm already wanting to plan our next trip down!
I'm thinking about taking Macy for a day to have a Mommy/Daughter day to one of the
Water parks next month.

Macy has another cheer competition coming up next weekend, which will be her
LAST
competition until 2012!
We are excited to have her move up to Level 2 Mini Cheer next season.

One More thing that isn't too exciting though,
I now wear Glasses!! Eeek!

Happy Weekend!!
